European Skimboarding Cup - Berlin 2025

Pure action in the urban heart of Germany’s capital, directly in front of Berlin’s biggest arena! If that sounds like your kind of vibe, don’t miss the European Skimboarding Cup at the Uber Platz on August 30th, 2025.

Skimboarding is an extraordinary water sport in which athletes glide across the water on a flat board. They use the effect of aquaplaning and do not need wind or waves, which means that, unlike windsurfing, surfing, and other similar sports, it can also be practiced in the city.

The huge fountain field at the Uber Platz, with its 96 water jets, is particularly suitable for the sport and was officially opened for this purpose in the summer of 2023 by skimboarding superstar Adrien Raza. After another successful skimboarding session in 2024, the Uber Platz will now host the European Skimboarding Cup for the first time.

Thanks to its unique location between the Spree, the East Side Gallery, and the vibrant Warschauer Straße, skimboarders will not only have fun on their boards, but also share the ultimate Berlin experience with visitors. Be there when young talents and the best in the scene compete for the title at Uber Platz!
